April 29, 2013 Meeting Notes

Kelly Quinn greeted Rotarians upon entry. Kris Stepanian led the pledge while Steve Spiller gave us the Thought for the Day, reminding us all that our upcoming Rotary at Work Day annual event started here in Grass Valley in 2006 with projects instituted by Past District Governor Wyn Spiller: an impressive decade of service!

Bob and Kate Ziehlsdorf, Cindy's Tech Team, were introduced as Guests of Rotarians. Scott McFarland introduced Visiting Rotarians, Dave Walker and Mark Linsky. (I sure hope I got his name right!)

President Tim thanked Dave Peeler and his crew, which included Marcella Peeler, Steve Sauer, Don Shepard and Scott Spencer for a great job painting the lobby of the GV police station on Saturday April 27.

Cindy Ziehlsdorf presented a very interesting program about Ensemble Designs, a Grass Valley company designing and manufacturing equipment used worldwide in video production. The ideas used in Cafe Ensemble have been found useful and replicated in our area, as well. 

Lori Burkart-Frank was our Photographer. Peter Lemmon served as Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms...with Ken Holbrooke's appreciation.
